Nelson attended Mobile Dynamics in the fall of ’06, acquiring his Advanced MECP Certificate, expanding his knowledge and honing his skills. In January of 2009 He took the MECP Master test at the age of 20.  As of 2011, Nelson is 1 of only 193 MECP Masters in the world, and the only one in the State of Alaska.

History of the name Bobwires:  Bobwires Incorporated was started in 2000 by Bob Hays as an electrical contracting company. By 2003 Bob’s son, Nelson, began selling and installing car audio products.  As a sophmore in high school he couldn’t get his own business going legally, so Bob offered the chance to use Bobwires’ references, business license, and insurance to get the small stereo business off the ground.  The audio end of the company kicked into high gear the summer of ’04 when the opportunity to open a retail store came along.  Nelson had a small display in the back of the electrical supply shop on Tongass Ave, where he worked after school.  In the summer of ’06 Bob decided to close down the retail end of Bobwires Inc. and run a smaller operation.  Nelson bought the remaining inventory and started Bobwires Audio, to keep the established name alive.  What began as a small electrical contracting company has grown and changed to a full service electronics and fabrication shop!  Bobwires Inc still exists as separate entity from Bobwires Audio providing top notch commercial and industrial electrical services.
